Today we welcome the release of military spouse Deisy Rivera Ortega and the reunification of her family following coordinated advocacy efforts led alongside lawmakers, veterans, legal advocates, and community partners.

This case is a reminder that military families deserve stability, protection, and dignity while serving this nation. We remain committed to advocating for mixed-status military families and foreign-born service members who continue to face unnecessary barriers and family separation.

No service member should ever have to choose between serving their country and protecting their family.

No Veteran should be left behind. Not here. Not anywhere.

Join us in Playas de Tijuana for a powerful meet & greet with deported veterans and a guided tour of the Leave No One Behind mural project.

These are not just murals, they are stories, service, sacrifice, and resilience painted on the border itself.

El Pasoans joined a national day of protest against the Trump administration's continued policy of mass detention of immigrants.

A group of people in East El Paso gathered in a protest on Saturday afternoon, April 25 and called on Immigration and Customs Enforcement to release the wife of an active-duty soldier at Fort Bliss who has been detained.

About 50 demonstrators held signs and chanted outside of Camp East Montana.

The group heard from Sgt. 1st Class Jose Serrano and his plea for ICE to release his wife and allow them to work on her immigration status together.

🇺🇸 Event Announcement 📣

Redefining Patriotism Through Veteran Advocacy

We are proud to share that our BoD Member & Southwest Regional Program & Outreach Director, Livier Lazaro, will be joining as a guest speaker at the upcoming Redefining Patriotism: Veterans’ Progressive Activism in a Time of Crisis roundtable hosted by University of California- Irvine through its Social Science Veteran Studies Program.

This important conversation will bring together veteran leaders and advocates who continue to serve beyond the uniform—engaging in critical dialogue around justice, equity, and the evolving role of veterans in shaping our nation during times of crisis.

Livy will represent Repatriate Our Patriots, helping elevate the voices of deported veterans and reinforcing the need to honor the promise made to those who served.

➡️ Service does not end at discharge
➡️ Honor does not stop at the border
➡️ No Veteran Left Behind

We look forward to this meaningful discussion and the continued impact of veteran-led advocacy across our communities.
