Let's identify the person who did this.
VIDEO now posted: BREAKING, HELP IDENTIFY HER: Police say woman lured puppy with food, ran over him and stopped on him for 15 seconds
Santa Ana, California - A nine-month-old puppy approached the food, and police say the woman behind the wheel slowly drove forward, running over him. Then, investigators say, she left the van stopped on top of him for approximately 15 seconds before driving away. The puppy died, and Santa Ana police are asking for help identifying the woman captured on surveillance video.
This happened September 8th, 2026, around 9:15 a.m. in the 900 block of West Park Lane. According to police, the footage shows the woman taking the black-and-white male pit bull mix puppy out of her minivan and placing him underneath the vehicle. She then put dog food near the driver’s side door and waited for him to approach before moving forward. Police say the rear tire on the driver’s side ran over him.
Investigators are looking for an older blue or green Honda Odyssey with a roof rack. After stopping on the puppy, police say the woman drove north on Lowell Street. The footage did not clearly capture the license plate or the driver’s appearance, making information from someone who recognizes the vehicle especially important.
Santa Ana Police Officer Natalie Garcia told Gina Silva at FOX 11 that this was one of the worst animal cruelty cases she has seen. Police are now asking anyone who recognizes the woman or knows anything about the minivan to come forward. Someone may have the information investigators need to identify her.
