Wind of Change Within extends our heartfelt thanks to every sponsor, donor, volunteer, and golfer who supported our second annual golf tournament—and to everyone who has stood with us both last year and this year. Every contribution and every person who showed up helped make this possible.
This tournament honors the memory of Lauren, the beloved daughter of our founder, Tina DeMarsh, who lost her to su***de in 2024. Through Lauren’s memory, we are bringing awareness, education, and hope to our community while working to end the stigma surrounding mental illness and substance use disorder.The funds raised stay right here in our community. We are excited to share that these funds are sponsoring Stephen Hill founder of Speak Sobriety, to bring his prevention and recovery programs to Queensbury High School and Hudson Falls High School this school year! Stephen is an attorney, author, and recovery speaker who encourages students through honest conversations about substance use, resilience, and healthy choices.
We have also reached out to other local schools to offer Stephen's program we're just waiting to hear back from them. We will update as we hear.
Your generosity helps give our young people education, encouragement, and the knowledge that support is available. Together, we can open conversations, reduce stigma, and help families feel less alone.
