What a lovely evening with the bestest volunteers!
Tonight we celebrated all those who give of themselves selflessly to help The Moreau Community Center do what we do every day - care for people and our community.

The Saratoga Chapter of Quilts for Kids, Inc. - Headquarters, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is now meeting at The Moreau Community Center on the fourth Thursday of each month, 10a-2p to create handmade quilts for children facing serious illness, trauma, abuse, or natural disasters.

Volunteers bring their own sewing machines and work with donated materials to transform fabric into colorful patchwork quilts that provide comfort and encouragement to children in need. According to Chapter Chairperson Sandy Clauser, the group has donated quilts to organizations including WAIT House, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Guardian House, and other local agencies serving children.

New quilters of all skill levels are welcome to join. In 2025, the chapter donated 226 quilts, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children throughout the community. For more information about Quilts for Kids or to learn how you can get involved, contact Sandy Clauser at (518) 538-8293.

Hello Moreau! If you haven't completed the Community Survey for the Route 9 Corridor Study, there is still time and we want your feedback! The survey will close on June 25th, so there is still time to tell us what you think about your vision for the future of the corridor. Tomorrow, June 18th, members of the project team will be out and about to conduct business surveys along the Route 9 corridor. https://www.moreauroute9corridorstudy.com
