We are pleased to announce that we now have a STATE PARK PASS available to loan to our patrons. This provides free admittance to most* state parks and historic sites for day use (not camping). Pass covers all passengers (up to 17) in a vehicle, and is loaned on a first come basis.🌲

*Exceptions: Acadia National Park, Allagash Wilderness Waterway, Baxter State Park, Maine Wildlife Park, Peacock Beach, Penobscot Narrows Observatory, Penobscot River Corridor, Scarborough Beach, Songo Lock or Swan Island.

Although the pass cannot be reserved for a specific date, feel free to call ahead to see if it is available.

This year, our little Christmas tree is wrapped in something extra special—the gift of reading!

Underneath our festive tree, you'll find books waiting for young readers. Some are wrapped with age suggestions written on them (add a little mystery!), and some are ready to browse.

Here's the best part: every child can choose TWO books—one to keep for themselves AND one to give to someone special. Because the joy of reading is meant to be shared! 💝
