Welcome to the South Bend chapter of Silent Book Club-a cozy, no-pressure space for book lovers of all kinds.

We meet once a month at local Michiana businesses for an hour of reading.

An absolutely gorgeous evening reading amongst the pumpkins at Thistleberry Farm! It was a great mix of regulars and new-comers and bookended by a beautiful sunset.
Thank you so much Thistleberry Farm for letting us host here! Definitely a fall hot spot for pumpkins, corn maze, flower fields, and kids activity area.
Next month we’re at LangLab on November 18!
In December we’re back at Ironhand and having another book swap!

A little creativity, a few good books, and some great company!

A big thank you to the South Bend Silent Book Club for spending Wednesday evening with us at Monterrey! We loved seeing everyone get creative with their book vases, and they turned out absolutely beautiful.

Look at all these beautiful book vases 😍😍 Bookish Merch taught us how to make these wonderful pieces and everyone did an amazing job decorating them.

We of course also enjoyed wonderful food from Monterrey Mexican Bar & Grill and talked about books. Thanks so all who came out 💜

That is one amazing stack of banned books!! A great time reading with our community once again. Huge thank you to Kathy Brain Lair Books for being such a fantastic host (go shopping there this weekend and pick up a banned book).

🎃October Silent Book Club Events!

We are so excited for the THREE events we have for this month.

📣 First up is Banned Books Read-In at Brain Lair Books this upcoming Friday from 6-8pm. Attendees will receive a free audio book from Libro.fm Audiobooks 🎧

💐 Then we have our first ever craft and audiobook night with Bookish Merch at Monterrey Mexican Bar & Grill on Wed the 21st from 6-8pm. We will be getting quick instructions on how to put together a book vase and then be listening to our audiobooks as we create our fall/halloween creations.

🎃 Ending the month with reading amongst the pumpkins at Thistleberry Farm on Wed the 28th from 5-6:45pm. Bring a chair, or blanket and your current read. Grab a c***r from the gift shop!

This Banned Books Week, we’re teaming up with Libro.fm Audiobooks , , and Brain Lair Books to host a Banned Books Read-In to protest book censorship.

Join us on October 9th as we read and take action to fight book bans!

Attendees will also receive a free audio copy of either Banned Together or How to Defend Books and Why 🎧
