SUPPORT AND SERVICES

* Massage, energy work, acupuncture, nutrition consultation, facials. Certified practitioners offer FREE sessions to WomenCARE clients. WomenCARE Advocates
* Legal services to women with cancer in selected areas of law. Lending and Reference Library
* Books and articles on cancer and women's health, located at the WomenCARE office. Research Assistance
* Assistance in accessing the latest medical information on cancer topics. WomenCARE Speaker's Bureau

Emotional Support Groups:

Cancer Support Group:Open to newly diagnosed women throughout the course of their treatment and up to 3 months post-treatment. Meeting Time: Every Tuesday, 12:30-2:00pm

Entre Nosotras: Open to Spanish speaking women with all types of cancer from diagnosis through treatment and the healing process. Meeting Time: 1st & 3rd Thursdays 6-8pm

Post Treatment Group: For women who are exploring issues related to life after a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Please call 831-457-2273 to find out when the next group will be starting and for more information. HEALING CIRCLES

Complementary Treatment: Educational & collaborative group for women who want to learn/understand about the many complementary cancer treatments. Call 831-457-2273 for this month's forum and to register. Meeting Time: 4th Saturday of the month 10:00-12:00pm
Rotating Facilitators

Mindfulness Meditation: Guided meditation & talk with a facilitator
Meeting Time: 1st and 3rd Friday of every month, 11:00am - noon

Writing Circle: Open to the writer in each of us, this group allows for creative exploration in a supportive space right where you are. Each session is a surprise. Your creations are prompted by writing activities and the stories of your life—bring your notebook and invite your muse. Meets the 2nd Saturday of every month, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at WomenCARE’s Soquel office. Continuity of Care: A safe space to talk about all things related to end-of-life. Facilitated by Alina Hammer. Meets the 1st Thursday of every month, 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at WomenCARE’s Soquel office.

Art for Healing: On Hiatus

SoulCollage: Discover your Wisdom: Using images, imagination and intuition, you will begin to create your own personal deck of collaged cards. Part art project, part spiritual practice, SoulCollage® allows you to deepen your understanding of yourself. In a fun, creative, and relaxed environment, you can use your personal deck of cards to tap into your inner wisdom. No art experience necessary. Must supply your own scissors, glue stick, journal & pen. Facilitated by trained SoulCollage® Facilitators Renee Robison, MSW and Laura Whitson, MFT. Meets the 1st Saturday of every month from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Alimur Park Clubhouse.
