Lee Scott Lodge hosted the 130th Annual Installation of Officers on July 15th. After a delicious dinner, members and guests gathered for this annual ceremony. Officers set to serve the Lodge this year are....

Outgoing WM Conner welcomed the guests and attending Masons, thanking each for their support and attendance, then turned the ceremony over to the Installation Team of Steve McCoy - Installing Officer; Lloyd Lesiker - Installing Marshall and Jack Womack - Installing Chaplain.
Newly installed Master Jim Braml then thanked all in attendance for their support and pledged to continue serving the community and the fraternity

Congratulations to Brother Butch Giles. He received his 50 year service award last night at Lee Scott Lodge. It was a beautiful presentation with Worshipful Master Conner providing the introduction of Brother Giles, Secretary Charles Law reading Giles extensive resume of his years in Masonry and R:.W:. Mark Parks, DDGM of Masonic District 44 and R:.W:. Tommy Griffin, PGM of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas participating in the presentation and commendation of Brother Giles service. His lovely wife, Mona Gay joined the ceremony and pinned Brother Giles with his service pin.

Batts receives Community Builder Award

Lee Scott Masonic Lodge presented Bill Batts, a long time Somerville resident the 2026 Community Builders Award on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Masonic Lodge in Somerville. The Grand Lodge of Texas designed the Community Builder Award to enable local Masonic Lodges to recognize outstanding non-Masons who have distinguished themselves through their service to the community, government, church or synagogue or to humanity. It seeks out those men and women who year in and year out quietly and without fanfare show devotion to their community and its people without the expectation of recognition.

Batts, a Vietnam veteran who has consistently surpassed the criteria required for this award, has worked tirelessly for over 35 years to make Somerville a better place to live. Since returning in 1990, he has promoted his “Keep the City Clean” motto and is always ready to help in Somerville and nearby areas. Besides community clean-ups, he also uses his skills to solve problems that affect his neighbors’ comfort and needs.
Bill was accompanied by several family members, who shared stories about his vital role in shaping their family's values for work and life. Rick Conner, Worshipful Master, welcomed attendees before introducing Steve McCoy, PM, to discuss the award's history, and Jack Womack, PM, who presented the honor to Bill.
Lee Scott members expressed their appreciation for Bill's service, and after the ceremony hosted a lunch to celebrate his dedicated contributions to the community.

Stated meeting March 2026 turned into a very special night. Robert (Bob) Ware was chauffeured to the meeting by his neighbor and Brother Terry White. After a great dinner, the regular business of them lodge was completed and Worshipful Master Rick Conner began a review of Brother Ware’s contributions to Masonry and especially to Lee Scott Lodge, calling in Brother Charles Law to present the Masonic history of Brother Ware, highlighting December 10, 1964 as the night he became a Master Mason. Worshipful Conner them introduced Right Worshipful Mark Parks, District Deputy Grand Master to honor Brother Ware and present him his Grand Lodge Service award of 60+ years as a Mason. Brother Ware’s expressed his gratitude, not only for having served 69 years, but for the camaraderie he has enjoyed since joining. He did commend the many members he’s been associated with since coming to Lee Scott.
Congratulations, Brother Ware and thank you for your Masonic service. You have been a major influence on many of Lee Scott’s membership.
