Here at Period Y’all, we believe in giving credit where credit is due. And there would be no Period Y’all without Change Today, Change Tomorrow . 💗
Before Period Y’all existed, CTCT’s It’s Friday, Period program planted a seed. Our founder, Skylar, saw the work happening in Louisville and took that spark back to her hometown. It started with a folding table and donated period products.
We could have never imagined that little table would eventually grow into a statewide initiative serving communities across Kentucky. But that growth didn’t happen alone.
CTCT became Period Y’all’s fiscal sponsor and gave us the foundation we needed to grow. But their support has always gone far beyond fiscal sponsorship. Donor platforms, grant databases, networking opportunities, resources, advice, encouragement, and an endless amount of knowledge from Taylor Ryan helped turn an idea into the organization you see today.
Taylor believed in Period Y’all when it was still a folding table and a dream.
CTCT showed us what it looks like to turn frustration into action, build solutions rooted in community, and use your own lived experiences to fight for better access for someone else.
So today, for , we’re asking the Period Y’all community to show up for the organization that showed up for us.
