2025 Rogers Scholar Collin McKiddy used his American Heart Association CPR certification to teach life-saving skills to 28 Monroe County Middle School students participating in the 21st Century After School Program.

Students learned the importance of CPR before breaking into small groups for hands-on practice using mannequins, with assistance from members of the Monroe County HOSA Chapter.

“This project meant a lot to me as CPR is a life-saving tool that is often intimidating to some, but is quite simple to understand. My passion is medicine and impacting the lives and health of others.”
