I'm sorry I haven't been able to get to messages this yet. I will try to today. Between the Fall Festival and our roof leak it's been pretty hectic. We are in a pickle. The bunny room ceiling started leaking again and both insurance and our home warranty service are refusing to help. We've been fighting with them since April and keep tried to patch it temporarily in the meantime 😥.

I'm so sad because we worked so hard on fixing up the bunny room and it's such a nice space for them. The bunnies are now temporarily in small pens in the living room because of all this. Fixing the leak without help from insurance or the warranty company is going to be expensive, but we don't really have a choice. We really need your help at the moment. If you're able to send some pellets our way it would mean the world 🌎 we are doing alright on hay.

Everything on our Amazon wishlist is set up to ship directly to us. If you'd like to use a different company like Chewy or PetSmart please send us a message and we'll send our address. All of the rescue's buns live either with us or in foster homes while they wait to be adopted, so we can't post our address publicly for safety reasons. 🏠

Urgent: Rapid City/Black Hills Area ⚠️

Can anyone foster this stray bunny? Thankfully he/she was caught by a kind person and is safe now. The poor little thing was likely dumped and would not have survived without being caught. In order to take this bun into the rescue we need to find a foster and a sponsor for getting them fixed (this costs about 80 at our vet). If you are interested in helping with either please message us or comment. Thank you for helping save the bunnies 🙏

So I got peed on yesterday but this is still a happy update lol. Laipti did well in her surgery and is eating again. They tried to clear her blocked tear duct but couldn't so we'll be using new eyedrops for her. She was understandably not happy with the situation. She never does this but she bit me and peed on me yesterday 🫤 at least she's feeling better.

Laipti still hasn't received any donations to help with her surgery bill 💔🩺 if you are able to help it would mean the world 🌎 her final bill is in the pictures with card info blocked of course. I had to pay her bill to pick her up so PayPal is the best way to donate if you'd like to help her. Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers 🙏 I'm so glad she pulled through. It was an exhausting day but well worth it. Thank you as well to the Animal Doctors Vet Clinic for taking such good care of Laipti!

Please keep Laipti (Acorn) in your prayers, thoughts, or send her some good vibes! 🙏💞 She is in Des Moines having surgery again for her molars. They keep overgrowing and are causing pain, eye issues, and making it difficult for her to eat.

Laipti is an elderly sanctuary bunny (8 years old) who was surrendered when her mom moved to assisted living. Her mom loves her bunny so much and made a hard choice to keep her safe and we made a promise to take care of her bunny. Her mom was also recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Please keep her in your prayers and send good thoughts her way. We decided that Laipti should stay in the rescue as a sanctuary bunny due to her age and dental issues. We've been able to give her mom lots of updates on Laipti too this way ❤️ We are also planning a little Laipti care package to mail her mom soon.

We recently cleaned up the porch so the bunnies could have a safe place to enjoy the breeze on nice days 🌤 I think Laipti likes the wind in her fur 🥹

We're on TikTok now too lol. Please give us a follow and help us share 🙏 Rescues are getting bumped down in the FB algorithm left and right. Post reach is down for a lot of us 😥 hopefully branching out will help. We don't have much up yet on TikTok yet but we'll keep working on it.

I'm starting to lose hope on catching this fox 😢 I know we're a bunny rescue but I can't just watch him suffer and not try to help. Wildthunder Rehab will take him if I can catch him. They are pretty far away but we are willing to transport him there to get him the care he needs. Some volunteers set up a live trap and I've been putting in bait and checking frequently since I live nearby. I've been using turkey and tuna 🦃🐟 So far it's only caught a neighborhood cat (which was released of course). Does anyone have ideas on what else to try?

Send help, it's shedding season 😅 Something to keep in mind when thinking about adding a bunny to your family. They usually go through a few rounds of changing their coat each year. Some lose more fur than others. The Queen doesn't like being brushed but if your bunnies do, it's a good idea to help them out so they don't ingest as much hair and possibly go into stasis.

Let's see pictures of your bunnies when they're shedding 😆📷
