Mexican-American Educational Guidance Association

Mexican-American Educational Guidance Association Borrowing from the NAACP, MAEGA agrees that "a mind is a terrible thing to waste." Hispanic youths represent the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population.

MAEGA remains committed to facing the challenge of providing scholarships to the growing number of deserving students in spite of rising college costs and financial need. The national and local Latino population has grown remarkably since MAEGA was founded. Unfortunately, the educational achievement of Latinos has not grown at the same rate. According to the Rand Institute, Latinos have the lowest

college attainment rate. Economic and social barriers exist that prevent or hinder Latino high school students from entering or completing college. Parent financial, language and educational limitation are persistent problems which face the Latino community. Over the years MAEGA has narrowed the educational gap in this community by increasing the number of students who attend college on scholarship.

Hello MAEGA Family and Friends,

One of the scholarships that helped me through college when I was a wee young thing was MAEGA (Mexican American Educational Guidance Association; ) https://maega.org/). One of their big fundraisers is being one of the beneficiaries of the Encinitas Rotary Wine Festival. The event is is JUNE 2ND, and the food is awesome, the wine and beer is excellent and the atmosphere is chill. Help me support my kids to go to college by enjoying some good eats.

P.S. Make MAEGA your organization when you buy your tickets.
