8/3 We had the fun annual picnic at the lovely home of Lion Vicki Adams on Monday. It was good to get together on a wonderful summer evening. During our gathering, a little business took place, we inducted new officers and board members. We also agreed as a club to provide $2,500 to the Backpacks for Kids Project, our new President Bill Webster and his wife Erin, are involved in along with the Snohomish County Boys & Girls Club. That should help buy lots of school supplies and backpacks for deserving kids in our Community. And the next day our past president Jeff Holmes turned 55! Happy Birthday Lion Jeff🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🥳🎁🎂@

7/26 - Lions came out to help set up and take down the Eagle Wings DisAbilities Ministeries event at the Aquatic Center. We crossed our fingers that weather would hold for the fun event held for the participants. All worked out well, with only a few sprinkles during the party.

We are proud to announce that we have won first place in the Kla Ha Ya Day Parade (held July 18) in the Float category. Our float was to advertise our 6th annual Mad Hatter Croquet Derby, which is Sept. 12th at Harvey field. Thank you to all of the Lions who helped create our winning float. Last month, we hosted a fun get together in the Rainier Room at Spada Farmhouse Brewery. We gathered to thank our sponsors and our club members for the past years efforts. A special thank you to outgoing President Jeff Holmes for all the hard work he has done through the year. His good humor, grace, and inclusiveness are very much appreciated. As most of you are aware, we lost a fellow Lion. If you can come to Morrie’s funeral, please do so, and wear your vest, as a sign of respect, for one of our honored members and Past Presidents. Here is the link to the obituary for Lion Morrie Sachsenmaier. May he rest in peace.
