"Sometimes you get lucky and the timing just works in your favor. Driving back from Vegas yesterday and I made it to Wilson Canyon outside of Smith Valley, Nevada just in time to witness and photograph this amazing sunset."

75 years of honoring our Armed Forces, and what a celebration it was. πŸŽ‰

This past Saturday we joined the parade at Hawthorne's 75th Annual Armed Forces Day Celebration. Our beach-themed entry included two classic cars, and the one and only Cecil the Sea Serpent float right behind us.

If you weren't there, mark your calendar for next year. Things like this are always happening out here.

Yerington, get ready, you're invited! A brand new mural is about to make its debut.

On May 4th from 6 to 7 PM, Yerington NV Main Street Committee and the Walker Basin Conservancy are pulling back the curtain on a stunning new mural on the side of the Yerington Chamber of Commerce building. More than 40 feet wide and 10 feet tall, this piece weaves together the historical elements of Mason Valley, all connected by the Walker River.

Come meet the artists, step into the interactive elements out front, and snap a photo worth sharing. All are welcome to celebrate this beautiful new addition to Travel Nevada's Free Range Art Highway.

See you there!
