We are devoted to promoting the cattle industry through educational and promotional activities.

We enjoyed a delightful brunch meeting, courtesy of The Glass Onion. The entire experience was exceptional, with outstanding service, delicious cuisine, and scrumptious pastries.

During this gathering, we organized numerous educational booths for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. You can find us participating in various local events, including Main Street Gardnerville Wine Walks, Gardnerville Rancher Days, and Douglas/Carson Farm Bureau's Ag in the Classroom programs at local schools.

We are pleased to offer our support to local fairs and shows, such as the Smith Valley FFA Alumni Jackpot, Nevada Junior Livestock Show and Lyon County Fair, Rodeo & Silver State Livestock Expo. We are also collaborating with Sierra Sage Treatment Center on their Hope Round Up event and donating to the Gardnerville Rancher Days for their inaugural hometown rodeo, which aims to bridge the gap between Carson Valley's rural and urban communities.

To round out a very packed summer, we have scheduled a fundraiser in conjunction with the Reno Aces on September 13th. To purchase tickets for the game and support our cause, please visit our website for a link to buy tickets, with half of the proceeds going towards our organization!

Only two meetings a year, and this time we are back in Wellington at The Glass Onion. We can't wait to see what a delicious brunch spread they prepare for us! Members do get a discount on breakfast.

Our Valentine's Day fundraiser was an unqualified success, and we are thrilled to report that we raised over $50,000, thanks to the unwavering support of our attendees.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, including Cooper Roofing & Solar, Rosie's Place & Cantina, The Glass Onion, and Snyders' Pinenut Livestock Supply, whose backing was crucial to the event's triumph.

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to our Cattle Woman of the Year, Jen Sexson, who has recently taken on the presidency, as well as our Beef Business of the Year, Renner Equipment Company , which has been serving the Smith Valley community with distinction for 57 years.

We had the first recipient of our college scholarship, Lander Smith, in attendance. We heard from him and how is influencing the next set of ag students as a teacher himself. Our two highschool scholarship recipients were unable to attend due to being away in school! Dusty Clark is studying Equine Dentistry at the American Academy of Equine and completing Vet Tech school online. Whitney Walters is studying Ranching Systems and Agriculture education at Montana State University. We wish them great success in their careers!

The live portraiture studio, Studio Wride , proved to be a resounding success, and we are still in the process of distributing the paintings to those who did not receive them on the night.

Our sincere thanks also go out to our numerous donors, whose generosity made our raffle prizes truly exceptional. The gun raffle sold out with remarkable speed, and the silent auction featured an impressive array of items. The live auction, expertly conducted by Melissa Giorgi, was also a major success, with numerous trips and Lucky 7 baskets up for grabs.

The tables were gorgeous thanks to the Smith Valley FFA Floral team for their exquisite flower arrangements and to the four FFA students who served dinner with such poise!

We must also acknowledge the invaluable contributions of the Sierra Sage Treatment Center equine programs students, who assisted with setup, and the WNCW members, who helped plan the event!

We eagerly anticipate next year's fundraiser and invite you to peruse the photos from this year's event!

We are thrilled to invite you to our annual Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner & Dance. This isn’t just an event; it’s a night dedicated to investing in the future of agriculture —and we’ve pulled out all the stops:

Thank you to each person that came to our fall meeting. We were happy to have our first recipient of our college scholarship, Lander Smith, attend and hear how he is furthering his education. We have plenty of events to look forward to for the upcoming year, like our dinner dance on February 14th at the Smith Valley Hall!
