Thank you, Mayor Randy Fandal, for the wonderful tour of City Hall! We truly appreciate your encouraging words and for reminding the girls that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. It meant so much to hear about your role as mayor, the work you do, and why civic service is so important to you.
Experiences like this inspire the next generation to lead, serve, and make a difference in their community. We’re grateful for the time you spent with us and for investing in our girls’ future.

What an incredible Saturday with our Wilderness Girls and family! 🌿 We spent the day at Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge in Lacombe with Ranger Becky, who shared all kinds of amazing lessons — from local wildlife and natural fauna to basic survival skills. The girls made their own healthy trail mix before heading out on a scenic walk, and we even wrapped up with a fun nature craft! Huge thanks to Ranger Becky for sharing her knowledge and to for their generous support! 💚

We had the BEST time on our field trip to Texas Roadhouse 🤠

From the moment we walked in, Ramon, Shelbe, and the entire crew made our girls and moms feel so welcome. 💛

The girls got a behind-the-scenes kitchen tour (and WOW—immaculate!), learned how things run, tried their hand at rolling dough 🥖, and even joined in on some country dancing 💃

We played a fun guessing game with the peanut bucket, took pictures with Andy the armadillo, 📸, and wrapped it all up with a delicious lunch together.

Moments like these are what Wilderness Girls is all about—
✨ learning real-life skills
✨ building confidence
✨ and making unforgettable memories

A few snapshots from an unforgettable day with our Wilderness Girls 🤍🐎

These girls showed up ready to learn, work, and grow. From caring for the horses to building confidence in the saddle, they’re gaining more than just skills—they’re learning grit, responsibility, and heart.

Even more meaningful, their class fees went toward helping Pirate’s Promise build a new pen—so while they were growing, they were also giving back.

We had a fun pottery weekend with our Wilderness Girls!
Huge thank you to KLH Pottery for teaching our girls and making this such a special experience!!

Our girls got hands-on with pottery. Our older girls (4th grade and up) hopped on the wheel to create bowls and pottery art, while our younger girls made bowls and pottery pieces of their own. Creativity, learning, and lots of smiles all around!!
