Happy blue moon in June! As we transition to 183 days around the Sun we invite you to join Lucero and Eva for an intentional ancestral sound experience surrounded by horses.

Today we are shining light on Nubia’s physical health progress.

Our community chiropractor provided pressure release and acupuncture therapy as of last week and we are already seeing results.

Nubia has a stiff lower left neck and tension in left lumbar. As a retired Escaramuza athlete horse she experienced muscle weakness and tension as highlighted on diagrams.

Our homework is easy but not light and we must be consistent to help her improve balance and strength.

152 days under our guidance and we are delighted with her presence.

Thank you to the family and neighbor who seen a great fit for her life here at R3A❣️🐴❣️

What a beautiful way to end the week with Soundbath con Caballos at R3A ✨🐴

This session, our youth participants outnumbered the adults…with 6 youths and 4 adults receiving the medicine of sound healing offered by our amazing doula Lucero alongside our horses, Cheeks and Nubia.

Grounded by the land and guided by the horses, participants were invited to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves through sound, nature, and equine presence.

These monthly weekday and weekend sessions help support our low-cost community programs, making healing and connection more accessible for all.

Pedicures are important for our horses too 💅🏽💰

At R3A, our horses receive scheduled farrier visits every 6–8 weeks, or as needed, to keep their hooves healthy, balanced, and strong. Proper hoof care supports their comfort, movement, and overall well-being so they can continue showing up for our community with grounded energy and gentle presence.

Our retired charro horse, Cheeks, a former athlete and now beloved R3A program volunteer, is hearty, healthy, and definitely knows how to ask for treats. So don’t you dare come empty-handed 😉

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a timely reminder that for athletes, training the mind is just as essential as training the body.

There is something restorative about showing up exactly as you are at R3A. No pressure. No expectations. Just you… and the horse. 🐎✨

In this recent testimony, one of our athletes shares what it felt like to connect, breathe, and truly trust.

Horses don’t ask you to perform; they meet you where you are, reflecting what’s within and helping you find your center.

This is the medicine of the horse:

✨ Presence
✨ Emotional release
✨ Reconnection to self

When you allow yourself to receive it, the shift begins.
