The Shippensburg Kids Events Committee is a non-profit group that coordinates local events in the community such at Reading Rainbow and the annual Halloween Parade.

The Shippensburg Kids Events Committee 2026 SKEC Reading Rainbow event at the Firefighter Activity Center (33 W. Orange St., Shippensburg) on Sat., Feb. 28th!!!

We have an amazing morning planned with live music, a laser light show, and lots of Scholastic Books to shop from...

Proceeds from this event will benefit out local elementary libraries (Nancy GraysonElementarySchool, Grace B. Luhrs University Elementary School Friends (former Rowland Lab), James Burd Elementary School, and Shippensburg Area Intermediate School)

Stop by the King Street Gazebo (131 W. King Street, Shippensburg) and send your Letters to Santa in the special 📬 Santa Mailbox...it is express delivery to the North Pole 🎁

💌 The deadline to submit your letters to Santa is Saturday, Dec. 20th. If mailed on time, Santa will send you a letter back!! Don't forget to inlude your return address!
