Mama’s Cupboard will be CLOSED on Monday, October 5.
A note from the Wittbrod Family —
October 5 is a very difficult day for our family. It marks one year since we lost our son, Alexander.
Alexander was 16 years old when he suddenly passed away from acute lymphocytic myocarditis. No idea what that is? We didn’t either. Read more on it at: www.myocarditisfoundation.org
Myocarditis Foundation
He was a son, a brother, a friend, a hockey player, and a young man who had so much life still ahead of him.
October 5 is a day our family needs to slow down, be together, remember, and honor his life. We want to encourage our Mama’s Cupboard family and our community to do the same.
We have been asked so many times what others can do to help. This is what we want most — for others to make memories with their people. To take the time. Hug your kids a little tighter. Sit around the table a little longer. Call someone you love. Put the phones down and make a memory. Take the picture. Laugh together. Tell someone you love them.
Life can change in an instant, and sometimes we don't realize how precious the ordinary moments are until they become the memories we would give anything to have again. We get lost in the busyness of day-to-day life and miss the importance of the ordinary.
So on October 5, while our pantry is closed, we hope you will take a little time to be with the people who matter most to you. Make memories. Be present. Love your people.
We are so grateful for the kindness and understanding of our pantry families and our community as we take this day to remember Alexander.
Forever loved. Forever remembered.
Mama’s Cupboard will be open for regular pantry hours Friday, October 2nd and Friday, October 9th.
