Whether you’re a community member, a bereaved family wishing to honor their child, or a local business, there are sponsorship levels for everyone eager to support this meaningful event. Choose from three locations — Sheldon, Oskaloosa, or the Quad City area — and help us make this event a beautiful way for our community to show support of all the babies who have died during pregnancy or infancy 🤍

We are deeply honored to have been invited to the Hamilton Grief Symposium. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers for including us in this important community event.

Special gratitude goes to our dedicated volunteer, Allison, who shared valuable information about the resources Awakening Grace provides to families grieving the loss of a child during pregnancy or infancy.

Throwback Thursday! ✨🕯️

Looking back at the candles we included in our care packages! In our early days, we used elegant glass jars, but due to shipping challenges and concerns about breakage, we’ve now transitioned to sending candles in tin containers.
Still helping families remember boldly, just in a more durable way! 💙

🌟 A Huge Thank You to Lisa Jones! 🌟

We are so grateful for Lisa’s incredible dedication and support as a volunteer seamstress and supporter of our mission. Recently, she took on the important role of overseeing seamstresses across multiple states, helping us continue creating beautiful memory bears for families during their most difficult times.

Here’s a little bit more about Lisa written directly by her, “
I’m Lisa Jones. I have been married to my husband, Randy, for almost 26 years. We live in Sumner, Iowa with our 2 furbabies, Pearly and Teddie. We are a blended family and have 3 girls and 3 boys. Our children are grown and have families of their own and have blessed us with 9 grandchildren ranginging from 2 1/2 years old to 13 years old.

I work full time as a Customer Service Representative for a company that builds and sells tow trucks, parts and accessories. I love to sew pretty much anything. I do stay busy with memory bear’s and memory pillow orders. I enjoy bicycling with my husband and furbabies. We really love to ride the paved trails. I also enjoy baking.

I am so happy to be a part of the Awakening Grace team. Their organization, values and services they provide to families speaks to my heart. “

Often times, a small act—like sending a care package, offering financial help, or giving a hug—can have a profound impact. Last night’s virtual support group reminded us how compassion helps a bereaved family find resilience amid grief.
We often underestimate the difference our kindness makes. Every gesture of support can lift burdens and provide hope.
Thank you to everyone who supports us—your compassion allows us to continue doing this important work. Together, we can continue to encourage bereaved families to grieve boldly, heal gently, and remember boldly, one act at a time.

One of the most meaningful parts of this work is watching compassion grow in the next generation. 💛

Recently, Allison Van Roekel, a student from Boyden Hull, chose Awakening Grace for a school project and set a goal to raise money to support families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. Through her hard work, kindness, and determination, she raised an incredible $550 for our organization!!

To see someone so young choose empathy, advocacy, and action reminds us exactly why this mission matters. She could have chosen any cause, and we are deeply honored she chose ours.

Because of people like her, more families will receive support, resources, and reminders that they are not alone in some of their darkest moments.

Her creativity also reminded us that making an impact does not always have to look huge or complicated. A school project, bake sale, community event, sports team fundraiser, birthday donation drive, small business partnership, or personal idea can truly make a difference for the families we serve.

If you have ever wanted to support Awakening Grace in a hands-on way, we would love to see others create their own independent fundraising ideas and help spread awareness in their communities. Some of the most beautiful impact begins with one simple idea and a willing heart. 🌈

Thank you, Allison, for your huge heart and the difference you are already making in this world. We are so proud of you. 💙 Tiffany Van Roekel Boyden-hull Schools
