Shasta Roller Derby is looking at Saturday, September 5 for our annual Bout to Get Schooled Mixer 👀

Yes, we know it’s Labor Day weekend — so before we lock it in, we’re checking interest from skaters and officials who may want to come out to Redding and play some roller derby with us!

If you’d be interested in skating or officiating, please fill out the interest form below so we can get a better idea of availability.

The form is for:
• Skaters
• Skating Officials
• Non-Skating Officials

We’re also checking interest in a themed jersey option.

This is not a full registration yet — just helping us figure out if September 5 makes sense or if we need to look at a different date. Tag your friends!!

The Boomtown Festival is BACK!! Shasta will have a booth at the Health Fair, will we see you there next Saturday? 👀

The Boomtown Festival is back and bigger than ever! This beloved community tradition celebrates the rich history of the City of Shasta Lake with a full day of fun, food, and festivities for all ages.

📅 Date: Saturday, May 2nd, 2026
📍 Location: Clair Engle Park, City of Shasta Lake, CA
🕘 Time: Events kick off at 10:00 AM and go all day!

Festival Highlights:

Pancake Breakfast – 7:00 AM–10:00 AM at the Fire Station
Boomtown Parade – 10:00 AM along Shasta Dam Blvd
Makers & Craft Fair – 10:00 AM–3:00 PM at Clair Engle Park
Health Fair & Carnival – 11:00 AM–1:00 PM at Clair Engle Park
Live Music & Beer Garden – 11:00 AM–8:00 PM at Clair Engle Park

Four of our skaters volunteered at the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Luncheon in Red Bluff today, nearly 600 people in that room raising funds for local patients and health care!! Tough Enough Red Bluff Red Bluff Rotary

Heads up derby fans!!!

Our April 25th home game has been cancelled — unfortunately we weren’t able to lock in an opponent in time. Our website wizards are clocking in tonight and getting our site updated with this info, sorry for any confusion!!

The good news: we’re hitting the road on May 9th to take on the Basin Bombers in Klamath Falls, Oregon 🛼🔥

For our 2026 season opener, we're donating a portion of proceeds to Redding Amateur Wrestling Club (RAWC).

Wrestling and roller derby have more in common than you'd think — grit, accountability, and showing up and showing out even when it's hard. RAWC is building that in young athletes right here in our community, and as a skater-run nonprofit, that hits close to home for us.

It's especially personal for our season captain, Goody Two Screws, whose daughter Reece competes with RAWC, and these photos show exactly why we're proud to support them. When you come to derby this Saturday, you're backing kids like her too.
