Puppy love ❤️! This week we had a visit from Emily and Makaya and Paws4people! Emily is preparing for a new home where she will take good care of her person. Paws4people Foundation is a non-profit organization in New Hanover County, NC, that trains and places customized assistance dogs with individuals, including veterans, service members, and children with disabilities, at no cost to the client. Founded by Kyria Henry, the organization focuses on empowering people through dogs for mobility, psychiatric support, and other needs, with a nationwide reach. They offer programs like Paws4vets and have partnerships with UNCW for training.
Come have lunch any Thursday at 12:30 at STARS Grill in Shallotte. You never know what our committee will come up with for us to learn about in our communities!
