Bring in the New Year, January 1st, 2026 – MEIG Presents the 9th annual Winding River Polar Bear Plunge!

• Gather at Winding River Holden Beach at 12 Noon for Pre-Plunge get together

Bring a brunch menu Item to share and/or B.Y.O.B. Breakfast – Lunch whatever you Prefer to complement our shared Menu? Bring Side Dishes – Munchies - Desserts.
• Polar Bear Plunge: 1:00PM
• Post Plunge: “Brunch at the Beach” Brunch continues till 3:00PM

With your help and generosity, we are SERVING THE HOMELESS AND HURTING IN
BRUNSWICK COUNTY
A 100% VOLUNTEER Charitable Organization. Educating / Advocating for the Homeless, Providing Resources, Emergency Sheltering, Mentoring... they offer programs to give a holistic approach that will help meet spiritual, physical and emotional needs, as they offer an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
Streetreach advocates, mobilizes and provides temporary shelter, meals, and linkage to other resources for those that are unsheltered.
Streetreach attempts to addresses the root cause for our homeless neighbors, whether it be eviction, underemployment, substance abuse, domestic violence, mental illness or lack of affordable housing. We do all we can to help prevent and break the cycle of homelessness.
Streetreach desires to help individuals become self-sufficient again.

Donations will continue to be received up and through Monday January 5th, 2026.

Howlereen 2024 Paws for a Cause says thank you to the residents of Winding River Plantation for their amazing support this year. At the event, 10,000 was donated to the 4 no kill shelters in Brunswick county.

Pooches got dressed in their best for Howlereen. Prizes awarded to the best costumes. They also participated in fun games such as musical mats, jump for your popcorn, and more!

Fun event put together by Carol B, Janet S and Wendy S. An outstanding team.
