From all of us, thank you for all you do!! Outagamie County Communications Center - 911

Every year during the second week of April, the telecommunications personnel in the public safety community, are honored. This week-long event, initially set up in 1981 by Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office in California, and signed into law in 1994 by President Bill Clinton, is a time to celebrate and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public. It is a week set aside so everyone can be made aware of their hard work and dedication.

Outagamie County currently has 23 full-time Dispatchers, 2 part-time/casual call Dispatchers, a Communications Technology Specialist, 3 Supervisors and our Director with a combined total of 293 years of experience, with the most Senior Dispatcher with Outagamie County for 33 years!

Tomorrow!

Please stop out next Wednesday, March 18th for Seymour Firefighters and Seymour Rescue's Chili Dinner! Event is from 5-7 at the fire station. Proceeds from this year's event will go to the Hoffman Family for medical expenses.

Reminder- when driving near or through an accident scene, PLEASE slow down! We were on scene on Hwy 54 for a rollover today and the number of people that drove by without slowing down was disappointing, especially with the low visibility. We had our lights on and also 2 squad cars with theirs on to help warn drivers and protect us.

If you think you're going slow enough, slow down even a little more. That goes for any EMS, Law Enforcement, Fire scene.

We all have families we want to go home to also.

With all this snow, make sure you keep your exhaust vents clear outside your home to prevent carbon monoxide from backing up into your home. Stay safe everyone!
