If we planned a Fall ( October) group trip to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore with transportation, hotel, cruise, hike or kayak trip, and meals included, for free, would there be Veterans and First Responders interested in attending ?

We'd like to thank Kruzickis Kemo Kritters for allowing us to meet the alpacas and to give SD Nova a quick socializing training session with a new environment. After some discussion and learning how beneficial the alpaca can be with recognizing anxiety and other issues, I think we will have a place we can utilize if any Veteran or First Responder is interested in experiencing the tranquility and therapeutic effects of their "cuddle puddle". 🥰

🏹 EXCITING NEWS FOR WISCONSIN ARCHERS! 🏹

A brand-new public archery park is coming to Oconomowoc - and it is currently targeted for completion in early September 2026!

Located behind Champion Field near the utility yard off West Jefferson Street, the new park is expected to feature:

🎯 Four large shooting lanes
🎯 Space for up to eight archers at a time
🎯 A 10-foot safety berm
🎯 Large targets donated by Whale-Tales Archery
🎯 A course designed with USA Archery certification in mind

This project is a wonderful example of what can happen when local government, businesses, families and community organizations work together to expand outdoor recreational opportunities.

SCI Wisconsin is always excited to see new places where experienced archers can practice their skills. And where young people and newcomers can discover the sport we love.

We're looking for a volunteer who is familiar with what we do and who has been on our trips/events to assist myself during an event in Kaukauna next Saturday ( 8/29 ) from 4pm-about 7pm.

This is the bench that we had created and given to David's family yesterday. A special "Thank you" to U.P. North Weld and Fab for an amazing job. The bench will be placed at Village Park in Bonduel as a gift to be shared with the community and to serve as a message for anyone who may be struggling with their inner demons and a reminder to "Stay, you are loved and you do matter".

A special fund will be established to maintain the bench so the village and family will never have to cover the costs associated with it and to make sure it'll be around for many years.

Most importantly, we could not have made this happen without the generous donations from Sportsmans Bar, Peppermint Josie's, and Patrick Wudtke. 💕

Sometimes a memorial is more than a way to remember someone. Sometimes it’s a reminder to those still here.

This bench was created in memory of a veteran who lost his battle with su***de. While his story deserves to be remembered, the message on this bench is really for everyone who may be struggling today.

You never truly know what someone is carrying behind a smile, a handshake, or a simple “I'm doing alright.” Check on your friends. Check on your family. Check on the veteran who seems to have everything together.

And if you're struggling yourself, please don't convince yourself that you're a burden or that things can't get better. Talk to someone. Reach out. Give tomorrow a chance.

One conversation can change everything.

Stay. You're worth the fight.

Wow, what a day!
"Thank you" to all of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and to Golden Sands Golf Course for making our 2nd Annual David Richter Memorial Golf Outing a huge success!

Together, we raised over $23,000 !!! That's slightly more than the first year ❤️

We hope everyone had fun and are looking forward to next year already. The 3rd Annual David Richter Memorial Golf Outing is set for Saturday, August 7, 2027 with a tee off time of 1pm ( I promise we start on time next year 🤦‍♂️)

If anyone has pictures they would like to share from yesterday, please feel free to share them with us.
