Hope & Olive was created from one simple belief:
Confidence matters. 💚

Founder Jill Ullmer knows firsthand how deeply appearance-related struggles can affect confidence and healing. After years of helping clients through permanent makeup services, she realized many people sitting in her chair weren’t there for beauty — they were there for restoration.

That vision became Hope & Olive:
A nonprofit providing restorative tattoo services at NO COST to recipients navigating cancer recovery, Trichotillomania, alopecia, burn trauma, and other life-altering circumstances.

Today, over 100 recipients later, the mission continues because of people like YOU.

At just 31 years old, her life changed forever. In 2017, shortly after welcoming her first child, she was diagnosed with Stage III triple negative breast cancer. What followed were nearly two years of aggressive treatment - multiple forms of chemotherapy, radiation, and a bilateral mastectomy.

Those treatments saved her life, but they also changed it. She lives with permanent lymphedema and nerve damage that can make everyday tasks painful and exhausting. And while her hair eventually grew back, her eyebrows never fully returned - a small but deeply personal reminder of everything cancer took from her.

In January 2026, she received restorative tattoo eyebrows from Hope & Olive Network Artist Taylor Duchow. Throughout the appointment, she remained positive, kind, and incredibly grateful. There were laughs (including a playful “dark pigment mask” selfie prank on her husband and daughter!), heartfelt conversations, and a powerful moment at the end when she left feeling a little more like herself again.

Sometimes the smallest restorations can help rebuild confidence in the biggest ways. We are honored to be a small part of her story. 💛
