Thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first Neighborhood Exchange Monthly Community Meeting!

We extend our sincere appreciation to our outstanding guest speakers, Gloucester County Prosecutor Andrew Johns, Paulsboro Police Chief Gary Kille, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Phillip Neff, and Rayard, owner of Pressing On Prints, for sharing their knowledge, expertise, and commitment to keeping our community informed and safe.

During the meeting, residents learned about important public safety topics, ways to stay safe throughout the summer months, and recent changes to New Jersey’s e-bike safety laws and regulations. Most importantly, the evening created an opportunity for meaningful dialogue as residents asked thoughtful questions, shared concerns, and worked together to identify solutions that will help strengthen public safety throughout our community.

A special thank you to Second Baptist Church for graciously hosting our first Neighborhood Exchange meeting, Mayor and Council who were in attendance, and to every resident who took the time to attend and be part of the conversation.

Building a stronger, safer community starts with staying informed, getting involved, and working together.

We look forward to seeing you at next month’s Neighborhood Exchange! Stay tuned for details.

Paulsboro Police Department – E-Bike Law Update

Recently, there has been considerable discussion regarding the upcoming changes to New Jersey's e-bike laws, which are scheduled to take effect in July 2026.

We would like to remind residents and riders to begin familiarizing themselves with these changes and the requirements that may apply to electric bicycle operators. As implementation approaches, additional guidance and information will become available.

For current information and updates, please visit the following resources:

📌 New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) E-Bike Information
https://www.nj.gov/mvc/vehicletopics/ebike.htm

📌 New Jersey Bicycle & Pedestrian Resource Center – Micromobility Information

The Paulsboro Police Department will continue to share information and updates as they become available. We encourage all riders and parents of riders to stay informed and ensure they understand any new requirements before the law takes effect.

Ride Safe. Ride Responsibly.

This week, our team participated in the Rain Garden Installation Day at the Paulsboro Boys and Girls Club! Our staff were on hand to assist with the installation project. Together with the help of various community organizations, we planted native plants bringing this rain garden to life! The garden will collect rain water and serve as a natural way to stop water intrusion. We love to see improvements and projects like this happening in the neighborhood. Thank you to the Paulsboro Boys and Girls Club for having us!

The second annual Cops vs. Students Basketball Game was all about bringing the community together, building trust, and creating positive interactions between our youth and local law enforcement. Events like this remind us that strong communities are built through connection, conversation, teamwork, and fun. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this great event focused on public safety, mentorship, and unity!

Many thanks to our Steering Committee member Liz Moore for organizing a successful event, Mrs. Moore-Cook for her support and the Paulsboro Police Department, Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and the other local law enforcement officers who participated! This past Saturday, we participated in another great community spring cleanup event! It was wonderful to see so many community groups — including local sports teams, churches, and nonprofits — come together to help keep our community clean.

Our team did our part by cleaning some of the community’s hardest-hit areas, collecting trash, clearing out storm drains filled with litter, and watering the flower beds at the Senior Center.

We would also like to thank Platt’s Farm Market for the beautiful Vinca flowers we provided to the Girls on the Run program for their community service project. A true example of the community working together to beautify our town. The girls did an amazing job, and we were happy to assist!

A special thank you goes to local Buck Street resident Ms. Cindy, who generously gifted our volunteers handmade crochet items. We truly appreciate her kindness and generosity!

Events like this remind us how important community pride is. When we all work together and do our part, we can help keep the Paulsboro Pride neighborhoods clean, beautiful, and welcoming for everyone.

May is Community Action Month, and the Paulsboro Pride Neighborhood kicked it off with a Community Action Day of Service! Thank you everyone who participated and a special thank you to Mr. Steve Esteban for his kindness and generosity! Thank you to the Gloucester County Clean Communities Program for providing the bags, gloves, vests and pickers. Today was a huge success!

Our dedicated volunteers came together to make a difference by cleaning up trash, pulling weeds, planting flowers near the new Sylvia’s Palace Restaurant, and spending time at Loudenslager Community Garden planting bell pepper plants that we can’t wait to see grow this spring and summer. 🌼🫑

This day was all about doing our part to keep our community clean, support local small businesses, promote beautification, and invest in our community garden spaces. Every small act of service helps build a stronger, brighter community for everyone.
