Anne Arundel Young Marines The Anne Arundel Young Marines are proud to be a part of our nation’s premiere award-winning program for boys and girls between the ages of eight and eighteen.

The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, ages 8 through completion of high school. The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership, and promotes a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The Young Marines is the focal point for the U.S. Marine Corps' Youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts.

On Sunday, May 24, 2026 the Anne Arundel Young Marines held drill at the Howard L. Turner American Legion #276. Our Young Marines practiced close order drill giving our newer Young Marines an opportunity to call drill commands. Our "Shape up or Ship out"😂 class demonstrated by UC Sturm & XO Ott stressed the importance of looking your absolute best while donning the Young Marine uniform. PT was full of get up & go as our unit sprinted, planked, and pushed up towards fitness.

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, the Anne Arundel Young Marines proudly joined members of the community at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery to place flags on the graves of our nation's Veterans in remembrance of their service and sacrifice.
It was an honor for our Young Marines to take part in this meaningful tradition and pay tribute to the men and women who served our country with courage and dedication.

On Saturday, May 9, 2026 the Anne Arundel Young Marines teamed up for a fundraiser at Green Valley Marketplace, 8095A Edwin Raynor Blvd in Pasadena to sell raffle tickets for a bushel of steamed crabs for Memorial Day and forever roses for Mother's Day. Drawing is on May 16. Good luck to all our supporters & friends who purchased raffle tickets. Also a big shout out to those who gave us donations and bought roses. Every single dollar raised is returned to the unit Young Marine program. We salute Green Valley Marketplace for your outstanding support to the community. Happy Mother's Day to all those hard-working Mamas out there! Thank you AV Clingenpeel for the photos!
