We are rooted in this special place we call home and in the people who make it so special.

The St. James Hotel is working hard to reopen this month, and we are getting very close to confirming our official opening date. There are still a few moving pieces, but we can’t wait to share the news and welcome you back soon.

Stay tuned. We’re almost there.

First Saturday is coming up! 🌿

Join us Saturday, September 5th for the First Saturday Farmers Market in downtown Selma. Shop fresh produce, local goods, handmade items, art, and more from vendors throughout our community.

This month, we’re also excited to welcome Claudia Pettway Charley and Andrea Williams of Sew Gee’s Bend Heritage Builders, who will have a variety of Gee’s Bend quilts and merchandise available for purchase.

🌟 Selma Main Street was honored to participate in Main Street Alabama’s Awards of Excellence in Enterprise last week.
🌟 Selma Main Street received the framed proclamation by Governor Ivey, declaring Selma to be a Main Street Designated Community.
🌟 Main Street Heroes and successful revitalization projects were also recognized from the 36 Main Street communities.
