Scott Robertson Selma Mayor

Scott Robertson Selma Mayor Scott Robertson, Selma's first elected mayor by the people

08/08/2026

The Selma summer heat didn’t stop me from getting out into the community today, walking neighborhoods, knocking on doors, and speaking directly with the citizens of Selma.

I was proud to be joined by Bryan Ramirez, District 2 and Sarah Guerra, District 3 as we spent the day meeting with residents and hearing firsthand what matters most to our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who opened your doors, stopped to talk, and shared their thoughts with us, and to everyone who braved the heat alongside us!

Re-Elect Scott Robertson for Selma Mayor
Sarah Guerra District 3
Bryan Ramirez District 2

Committed to Selma. Connected to the community. Ready to keep working.

So positive to speak to Selma residents about our town today. This is my favorite part of the election, having good conversations with the real people of Selma. Thank you for the waters you offered on this hot day and most of all to those of you who opened your doors to talk about city issues, what you like and what you would like to see for your city in the future. Stay hydrated and safe everyone, have a good rest of the weekend.

This weekend marked the start of walking neighborhoods to knock on doors and talk with as many of you as I could. 🇺🇸 It is the part of this job I enjoy most, because it is the only real way to know what is on your mind. Many of you are not able to make it out to a council meeting or a town hall, so I would rather come to you.

We talked about what is going right, what still needs attention, and what comes next. 📋 Selma has made real progress these last two years, and I want to keep that progress going, but I can only do that if I know what matters to you and your family.

This is the first of many weekends I will be out walking, so if I have not made it to your street yet, I will. If I end up on your porch, I hope you will take a few minutes to talk with me, and I hope I can count on your vote to re-elect me as Selma's mayor. 🤝🗳️

Come out to Bethel for an all day grand opening event July 10 from 10 am-7pm. For more information take a look at the attached flyer. The new ownership represented by Ben, Jas and Brianna are smooth operators who have big plans to invest in their property and in Selma. Selma is pulling for this retirement and nursing facility to continue their service to the community which opened its doors in 1928. Good to see this longstanding organization refreshing itself and moving into the future with this grand opening.

Good Morning Selma, it was good to see daylight through the branches of the tree at the Floral/99 ramp. Individuals even though they were repeatedly warned it is not safe for them to be there were camping with cover from the grown out tree branches and leaves. Thank you to the Cal Trans maintenance crew who came out and trimmed those branches back leaving nowhere to hide in that area. Cal Trans Director Michael Navarro and Deputy District Director Phillip Vallejo listened to my appeal at last Thursday evening’s Fresno Council of Governments meeting and provided assistance to our City in a big way. Thank you for the great response and partnership between our City of Selma and Cal Trans.

Memorial Day is not just a long weekend holiday, it’s a solemn day of remembrance for all those brave men and women of our military who sacrificed their lives so we could be free. Locally Memorial Day was celebrated today by the American Legion at the Selma Cemetery. It was an honor to be part of this event which recognized the sacrifice of our local veterans as well as all those who joined up and became part of something greater than ourselves. Wishing everyone a safe Memorial Day with your family and friends.

It was an honor to participate with a prayer for Government on National Prayer Day at Lincoln Park. Thanks to Iglesia Antioquia Pastor Joe Alvarez for organizing our local Prayer Day event. So many voices coming together in Prayer is a beautiful thing and the day was perfect expression of peace and unity in our community. I also attended Reedley’s Prayer Breakfast. Thank you to Mayor Matthew Tuttle for his invitation to attend.
