Johana
Kua is the daughter of Mina Kua and a senior at Sedro-Woolley High School.
She is being recognized for her excellence in the CTE area of Agriculture. After graduating, Johana plans to run for a Washington State FFA officer position or attend the University of Idaho to pursue agricultural education and work toward her dream of becoming
an Agricultural Educator and FFA Advisor.

Johana says
that her CTE classes are the best classes for students to learn in a hands-on environment and find their
passion, saying “the day I set foot in my Floral Design class freshman year, I was already being set up for success. With the guidance of my teachers, I can’t wait to have my coffee in hand every morning, ready to be a teacher myself!” She is described by
staff as “passionate, driven, kind, and welcoming.”

Club opportunities
have been Johana’s favorite part of her high school experience. She is highly involved in FFA at Sedro-Woolley High School, as well as DECA and Varsity in Volunteerism. She also works with the local Soroptimist, Skagit County Cattlemen’s Association, and Skagitonians
to Preserve Farmland. FFA is the club she is most passionate about, and through it she says she has learned to love advocating, leading, and learning

Johana’s
favorite quote is “There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible is the fear of failure.” - Paulo Coelho

He is beloved by his teammates and coaches, who describe him as an incredibly hard worker who “gives everything he’s got.” When he’s not on the field or in the mat room, Oliver enjoys attending church, working out, and reading the Bible in his free time.
