NU-HOPE Thrift Stores Sales of antiques & used / vintage items from our Sebring and Lake Placid Thrift Stores help to fund This funding is essential.

To provide financial support for our mission, NU-HOPE operates two thrift stores, the NU-HOPE Thrift Store in Sebring and the NU-HOPE Cottage Thrift Store in Lake Placid. Items sold at these thrift stores are contributed by local business owners and residents. Dedicated volunteers assist the management in the daily operations of the store and are vital to their success. Store Locations

Proceeds from the thrift stores are used to match grant dollars received by our agency and to increase the number of people who are able to receive our services. Without it, our agency would be unable to provide our services to those in need. You, too, can support the independence and well-being of seniors and caregivers by donating and shopping at our stores! Individuals who wish to support elder services are encouraged to donate clean and usable items to the stores. Should you be unable to bring items in, we may be able to pick them up. You may also assist our efforts by volunteering at one of our thrift stores.

NU-HOPE Invites Community to celebrate the first 50 years of serving seniors in our county and to join NU-HOPE in the rededication for the next half century!

NU-HOPE Elder Care Services invites the community to meet Joseph Cox, NU-HOPE’s new Executive Director, during a special Rededication to the Next 50 Years event on Friday, June 26, from noon to 2 p.m. at NU-HOPE’s main administrative office, 3530 Office Park Road, Sebring, FL 33870.

The rededication carries a simple message: connect leadership with the community, continue the tradition of service, and commit to working together for local seniors, caregivers, and families.

Guests are invited to meet the new Executive Director and staff, share refreshments, and help carry NU-HOPE’s story forward. As part of the event, guests are encouraged to share their memories with Joseph and help the agency document its history by bringing photos, clippings, or stories to aid in remembrance of our past.

The event will also offer time to share good wishes with Laurie Murphy, our Resource Development Director, as she begins retirement after many faithful years with NU-HOPE.

NU-HOPE looks forward to welcoming community leaders and partners, volunteers, seniors, and friends of the agency.

And together, we will build the next 50 years!

NU-HOPE Elder Care Services has been selected as a beneficiary of the Runs for Food partnership between the Tampa Bay Rays and The Mosaic Company!

Through this incredible initiative, every run scored by the Rays this season helps support local organizations working to fight hunger and serve seniors across our community. We’re honored to be part of a program that turns on field success into real world impact.
