🌟Our upcoming special event "Through the Lens of Anne & Valentin" with Hugo House explores the key artistic and literary influences on Parisian eyewear brand Anne et Valentin. Join us for a chic evening of French poetry, art, and worldclass artisanship!

Our Executive Director Otilia Baraboi will read poems in French and English from Boris Vian's 1962 collection "Je voudrais pas crever" (translation by Maria Freij). Let yourself be swept up in the jazzy verses of this iconic writer, one of the influences on Anne & Valentin's eye-catching design.

Meet our new French instructor, Madeleine Poole! 😃

Madeleine is a lifelong polyglot passionate about the French language and culture. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Lawrence University with a major in Multi-Language and a minor in Educational Studies, and an MA in French Studies from the University of Washington.

After graduating from St. Lawrence, she participated in the Teaching Assistant Program in France, teaching English to high school students in Évreux and gaining firsthand experience with French culture. She also has experience as a tutor with different age groups, from early childhood to university.

Madeleine will also teach our new full immersion program for ages 4-6, The Little Explorers, onsite at our beautiful Wallingford campus.

This is an exciting opportunity for native French-speaking students to follow the CNED French language curriculum. It will be led by our instructor Sarah Grousseau who experienced the program with her own children for 10 years.
