A New Executive Director for Home Together 💛
I am proud to announce that it has been four years since Home Together launched as a tiny non-profit, supported by a passionate working board and an ever-growing team of volunteers. Four years ago, we drew our own roadmap, creatively rethinking what housing might look like for families receiving care at Seattle Children’s Hospital. We built this organization with a heart-centered goal of creating affordable options which would improve mental and physical health outcomes for the entire family, by keeping them together (and cozy!) during treatment.
Since that time, with guidance from the knowledgeable community of social workers, therapists and oncologists at Seattle Children's Hospital, as well as our housing partners at Maple Leaf Property Management, we have launched a total of 11 houses (9 of which are still active) and have served well over 50 families.
As Home Together's founder, I have led with my passion for creative thinking, problem solving and making wild ideas come to life. As we enter into our fifth year, I am humbled to see that this wild idea is ...flourishing! As such, I believe my work here is done. It is time for me to move on to new creative endeavors and to find fresh ways to support this fantastic organization.
I am thrilled to introduce you all to Jessica Zander, who will step into the role of Executive Director at Home Together on February 9th!
In the words of the Home Together Board:
Jessica brings over 20 years of experience leading and advising mission-driven organizations, most recently serving as Executive Director of the $30M Walgreen Benefit Fund, where she led significant growth in grant-making, governance, and organizational capacity. With a background in executive leadership transitions, fundraising, and board partnership, Jess is well-positioned to guide Home Together into its next chapter of impact. The Board is thrilled to welcome her to the Home Together community.
Over the coming weeks, we will be working closely together to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition. I want to express my deepest gratitude to this community —our donors, partners, volunteers, and supporters—who have made this journey possible. The future of Home Together is bright, and I can’t wait to see what’s ahead.
With gratitude,
Molly Landreth
