Black History Month is a time to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of the Black community the Black people who paved the way and built the foundation we stand on today.
But it’s also a call to honor the Black history being made right now.
Celebrate our community heroes.
Support the ones still doing the work.
Uplift the leaders, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, and healers who are creating legacy in real time.
So the question is:
How are you showing up?
How are you supporting Black history every day ? not just in February.
Our history didn’t stop.
And neither should the support. 🖤

Hi Black Coffee family 🤎
It’s been a minute since we’ve posted, but we want you to know we’re still here.
Our CEO has been taking time to recover and prioritize her health (thank you for the love and grace 🫶🏾), and while she’s been healing, our team has continued showing up in community.
From hosting events and workshops, to catering, to youth programs, we’ve been working across Seattle to Tacoma, doing what we’ve always done creating space, building connection, and pouring back into our people.
This season has been quieter online, but powerful behind the scenes. Thank you for rocking with us through every chapter. More to come. Always. ✨

Our local owners are ready to serve the Shoreline community in a brand-new way!
Black Coffee Northwest Café and Community Hub is a locally owned Black business. Through thoughtful programming, we bring the community together for networking and collaboration while providing work experience for Black youth in Shoreline. Featured programs include a Black marketplace that will promote and sell Black-owned products, youth barista job training programs, after-school study hours, a weekly youth outreach program known as Friday night Vibez, and “coffee chat”: a conversation series addressing current events This will also be the official home of the award-winning Northside Step Team, Drill Team, and Drum Line which have been providing opportunities for youth since 2000.
The location has been secured and the equipment is ready to make you the perfect espresso drink. All that’s needed is your support. Please support this community hub by helping us reach our initial fundraising goal of $25,000.00. This funding will be used to purchase the existing business which includes all coffee shop equipment, supplies, furniture, and machines. This is an amazing opportunity and we thank you in advance for your contribution.
As an added treat, drinks on the menu will be named to celebrate Black culture. Our first drink will be called Melanin Mocha, which is a dark chocolate mocha with a twist. This is your chance to change history, name your very own espresso drink, and support the local Black business.
