🐾 Adoptions have been a bit slow throughout the summer, but August was a good month for our three adopted dogs! 💜

Kya, Trot, and Knox (now Goose!) all found their forever homes! 🏡🐶

We’re so happy for these three and grateful to the families who opened their hearts to them. There are still so many dogs waiting for their chance — maybe your new best friend is waiting for you! 💜

We have several wonderful dogs waiting for foster homes — including Boomer, Astra, and Colby. 💜

They’re all good boys and girls, and we truly believe we have a dog for every type of family! Whether you’re an active household, a quieter home, or somewhere in between, there’s a dog out there who would love to have you as their foster.

Boarding is expensive for the rescue, and while our dogs are always well cared for, there’s simply no substitute for being in a home — getting that one-on-one attention, learning what it’s like to be part of a family, and having a warm couch to call their own. 🏡

Today, we’re celebrating the dogs who remind us why they’re truly the best — especially the rescue dogs still waiting for their forever homes.

💕 Tomasa update! Our sweet girl has officially secured a new foster home and is loving life, playing with her foster brother, Ranger🥹🐾

She had her vet visit yesterday, took all of her medications like the absolute champ she is, slept like a princess through the night and now we wait for her test results. 🤞

Seeing her continue to be happy, comfortable, and so loved is the best update we could ask for. ❤️

Colby has been overlooked for far too long. 💔

Sometimes being a black dog means getting passed by again and again—and sadly, research shows that black dogs are often overlooked in shelters and rescues. But if you took the time to get to know Colby, we’re pretty sure you’d wonder how anyone could ever pass him up.

Colby is a 1.5-year-old, 41 lb German Shepherd/Staffordshire Terrier mix who is sweet, loving, playful, and just an all-around great dog. He loves to play fetch, enjoys car rides, and is both housebroken and crate trained. He’s wonderful with kids, gets along well with other dogs, and even does well with cats!

He’s got the perfect mix of playful energy and affection—and he’s ready for someone to finally see what we see in him.

Let’s break the black dog curse and get Colby into the forever home he’s been waiting for. 🐾💜
