Just a reminder, tomorrow the Fresh Table Community Pantry will hold a Special Meeting tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Beukendaal Masonic Building (22 Schonowee Ave, Scotia) to formally transition from a Steering Committee and establish our new governance structure.

Anyone interested in supporting our next step is welcome to attend and participate. We are currently looking for Board members to help lead the way forward.

Hi Everyone,

With the planting season in full swing, gardens across our community are coming to life. Neighbors are turning soil, adding compost, and planting vegetables with hopes of a plentiful harvest. As every gardener knows, the season often brings more than enough to share — extra tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, herbs, peppers, and even leftover starter plants.

Through the Garden Share Project, the Fresh Table Community Pantry hopes to connect that abundance with neighbors who can use it most. Instead of letting extra produce or unused plants go to waste, we can help place fresh, local food onto tables throughout our community.

Before we launch, we are looking for one or two volunteers willing to help coordinate the effort by collecting donated vegetables, herbs, and extra plants from local gardeners.

We have fresh produce, meat, and dairy products for neighbors who need a little help until payday. Items are available while supplies last. No I.D. required. ❤️

We’re building a team of compassionate, community-minded volunteers ready to make a real impact.

This group will help plan our first signature fundraising event—a warm, welcoming, harvest table–style evening where neighbors come together to share, connect, and give back. Think less formal gala, more mission-driven gathering rooted in community and compassion.

Tonight we honored our co-founder Kim Talbot at the YWCA’s 43rd Annual Empowerment Awards Gala. Kim was recognized for her commitment to volunteerism with the Katherine S. Rozendaal Volunteer Award. Congratulations and thank you for everything you do for our neighbors.
