We work together to meet the unique needs of every child and adult we serve. St.

Joseph Center for Special Learning (SJC) is a special education school for students ages 5 through 21. Sponsored by the Office of Education, Diocese of Allentown (Pennsylvania, USA), St. Joseph Center offers academic, social, religious, and pre-vocational instruction to students with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Schuylkill County and beyond regardless of race, creed, and ethnic origin. Joseph Center also offers a state licensed adult habilitation program for those over the age of 18 who, due to functional level, are unable to join the competitive or sheltered workforce. 📸 Calling All Photographers!

St. Joseph Center for Special Learning is looking for a photographer to provide our students with traditional school portraits!

We are seeking someone who is patient, personable, and comfortable working with children of all abilities. The photographer should have their own lighting and standard photography equipment, as well as the ability to provide printed photos for families to purchase.

If you are a photographer interested in working with us, or know someone who might be a great fit, we would love to hear from you!

The SJC Parent Committee is excited to host a $25 Gift Card Sale for Kowalonek's Shop!

When you purchase a gift card, you are not only stocking up on delicious kielbasa and quality meats, you are also helping fund enriching programs, fun assemblies, and special experiences throughout the year for our students and adults.

📍 Orders must be placed by Friday, November 6th.
📞 To place your order or if you have any questions, please call 570-624-6148.

Please note: All payments (cash or check) must be dropped off at the school. Payments should not be mailed. Please include "Kowalonek's" on the memo line.

Our SJC Pumpkin Patch was full of fall fun last Friday!

We launched pumpkins with huge slingshots, face painted, enjoyed snacks and a duck race, painted pumpkins, and tested our senses at the sensory station!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this special day possible!
