I should have created my own post but Becky at United Way once again has my back.
I joined Connects (formerly VISION) in January 2019. A little over 7 years later I leave here confident that I have contributed to some of the greatest projects in Schuylkill County and shared a lot of valuable information with partners and Schuylkill Countians. As a very small organization, my work would not have been possible without partnerships and support of HIVE, Youth Summit advisory board, the county commissioners, school districts, health systems, municipalities, and more!
I look forward to continuing to support Schuylkill County in my new role as well as through volunteer opportunities.
This also isn't a goodbye yet for Connects, as I transition to the board to continue to serve the organization!
I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to Connects board and all the partners I have worked with over the years!!

It's a bittersweet Friday...🐝

Three years ago, SUW joined forces with three amazing community partners - Schuylkill Community Action, Schuylkill Connects, and Tamaqua Area Community Partnership - to create Schuylkill County HIVE.

Today, we're sending tons of gratitude and best wishes to Mandy at Schuylkill Connects as she begins an exciting new chapter with the PA Dept. of Human Services 👏 👏 (Thankfully she'll still be covering Schuylkill County in this new role!)

Mandy brought deep knowledge of and passion for community health, active transportation planning, connections at local, regional, and state levels, and the innate ability to create effective relationships wherever she went - and she was everywhere!

We know you're going to continue making Schuylkill County proud, Mandy!

Sometimes a food pantry is about much more than food.

During our Gordon Area Food Pantry distribution, Schuylkill Community Action partnered with Schuylkill Transportation System (STS) and Schuylkill Connects to host a Rural Health Fair, bringing local organizations together in one convenient location.

Community members had the opportunity to connect with valuable programs and services while also receiving fresh food through the pantry.
