Diakon Community Services invites you to join us for our 16th Annual Senior Expo! Come explore the many programs, services and resources available to older adults throughout our community.

There’s so much to see and do! Take your time visiting our exhibitors, learning about local services, enjoying musical entertainment, playing Bocce Ball, grabbing lunch and refreshments, and trying your luck at Snack Drawer Bingo.

• Safely dispose of unused prescription medications.

Beginning tonight, our Tuesday evening Zumba class will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 W. Arch St., Pottsville, for the remainder of the summer.

Good evening,

I spoke with the Schuylkill County Senior Center. As many of you know, there’s a heat wave coming. We have many vulnerable citizens of all age ranges.

The Senior Center is setting up a cooling station inside its building over the next few days. They have given me permission to share the details. Please note that it is open to any age. As you can see in the post, all ages are welcome.

I will be delivering cases of water to them tomorrow. If any business owners or private residents would like to contribute $10–20 to help buy a few cases, please let me know. Every penny will go toward buying water to be dropped off there.
