Come what MAY, we're here with food for good!

There's no better way to close out serving our local school than to help fill the stomachs of some of the most important members of our community...our school kids. 12 school families have fuller stomachs thanks to the help of our amazing partners at Schulenburg ISD who help Led + Fed provide food bags to school children and parents who need the extra resource.

And P.S. even though school won't be in session, the mission continues. Keep an eye out for our summer initiatives!

April showers bring…an opportunity for service! Rain or shine, Led + Fed’s Community Table was happy to bless our community with food and prayers.
🍔 🙏
From a tired mom needing dinner for herself and her three children to a community member seeking prayer over her financial situation—the rain didn’t wash away their needs but it did give us opportunity to feed and pray over these precious people in the midst of their storms. What a privilege.

We’re thanking the Lord for the rain and this event which allowed us to feed 46 people. This is what food for good looks like.

The Resurrection.
He is risen!

Without the resurrection there is no Gospel message.
There is no life.
There is no hope.

All of our faith, our callings, our service…they all stem from this most-important event in all of history.

Hallelujah He was raised!
Hallelujah for His sacrifice!
Hallelujah that we have eternal life through Him!

Check out Led + Fed’s first Community Table event! 🍔

We served hamburgers and hot dogs to 50 members of the community. Students leaving school, athletes finishing up track practice, families happy to find a free meal, adults passing through…it was a good day!

This is what this community looks like. 🫂

God has given us a vision for Schulenburg and beyond: Feeding people both spiritually and physically so that communities can be led into relationship with Him. In Acts 2:42-47 we see a picture of the early Church with believers serving one another, breaking bread, praying, providing support, and giving to anyone who had need. There was a unity rooted in love for those whom God brought to the table. God brought many to the table at our first Community Table event, from the attendees to those who came to volunteer, and we know He will continue to grow the Kingdom through this opportunity.

Consider how God can use this community—you included—for greater things. 💟

Woot woot! We delivered our first set of food bags this week! 🎉 Each of these will be given to local families with school-aged children in an effort to nourish our community’s most precious resource—our kiddos.

Thank you so much to the amazing personnel at Schulenburg Independent School District who helped Led + Fed implement this programming. Together we are battling hunger and providing food for good. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

We are also grateful to the Texas Women’s League for awarding a grant to Led + Fed in support of this hunger relief effort. They believe in our mission of providing food bags to school families because no child deserves to go to bed hungry. A partnership like theirs is transformative for our organization’s involvement in the community.

The sole pure and holy Reason far beyond the gifts, events, and noise…

Jesus.
The Messiah.
God’s only Son.
Prophecies fulfilled.
Angelic proclamations.
Literal Heaven on Earth.

Jesus’ lineage joined kings and peasants, Jews and Gentiles.
His presence on Earth magnified the unmatched glory of our Creator.
His death gave access of Heaven above to all sinners below.

And yet He was borne of a virgin, placed in a livestock manger, greeted by shepherds.
He lived as a peasant.
No pomp, no circumstance.
Ordinary conditions for an extraordinary King.

That’s how God works.

The last will be first.
The first will be last.

Jesus’ birth has purpose far beyond the manger scene.
It all leads to the cross.
To you.
To me.
And back to God.

Reverence.
Repentance.
Reconciliation.

The Peasant King changed everything. Gloria!

We’re thankful for these helping hands from the Schulenburg Elementary Student Council! 🫶🏽🫸🏾🫷🏻🙌🏽

These amazing student leaders came to learn all about Led + Fed today! We enjoyed sharing about our mission and the different ways we serve. ✝️ 🥘

But not only did these guys learn about serving…they put service into action by adding to our Kindness Exchange wall AND they packed Thanksgiving food bags for a few Schulenburg families. 🦃
