🐾 Hello, Cat Lovers! ❤️

There are cats living all around Schertz who don’t have a home or a family to care for them. You may never see them when you drive by during the day, but they are there—quietly living in their colonies and depending on a few caring people to make sure they have food and fresh water every day.

For many years, a dedicated group of volunteers has been caring for these cats. They have made sure these kitties are fed, and not forgotten. ❤️

Recently, several of our volunteers have had unexpected challenges. One fractured her wrist and needed help, another had surgery and had to step away for a while, and another is dealing with medical issues right now.
Thankfully, some wonderful newer people have stepped up to help this past year and we are so grateful to them, but we still could use a few more caring hearts to join us.

We are asking for just ONE night a week. 🐱

It’s a simple but incredibly important commitment: you’ll put out food and fresh water for the cats in our colonies. All of these cats have been spayed or neutered. They don’t need to have someone take them home—they simply need someone willing to make sure they have a meal and clean water.

Some of these cats are actually social and have tried living in homes, but they have made it clear that the indoor life just isn’t for them. 😻 They are happiest where they are, and we believe they deserve to be cared for and loved exactly as they are.

These cats may not have a family of their own, but they still matter. ❤️

If you have ever looked at a homeless cat and wished there was something you could do, this is a wonderful way to help. You don’t have to rescue every cat—you just would need to help one night a week.

Could you be the person who makes sure a group of cats doesn’t go hungry? 🐾

We can really use any brand of dry and wet cat food to feed these kitties. If you’re interested in helping with feeding the colonies, but are unable to do so physically, that’s one way you could help. We are at Petco in Cibolo and Petsmart in New Braunfels, (the one closest to Lowes) every single Saturday, from 12-4 for drop off or at our office by appointment, or you could make a monetary donation to help with these costs at homesforpets.org/donate

🐾 Meet the love of your life, George! 🐾

Not only is George ridiculously handsome, he is an absolute gentleman. ❤️ He loves affection, companionship, and simply being part of the family.

Unfortunately, George has already been let down by not one, but TWO humans who promised him a forever home. He doesn’t understand their reasons or excuses. He only knows that, once again, the life he thought was his forever has disappeared.

And yet, George is still loving. Still trusting. Still ready to give his whole heart to someone. 💔

George deserves a person who understands that pets aren’t temporary. They aren’t disposable when life changes or when they become inconvenient. They are family.

So this time, we’re looking for George’s actual forever. Someone who will look at that handsome face and say, “You’re home. For good.” 🏡❤️

George is an incredible companion just waiting for the human who deserves all the love he has to give.

Meet handsome Larry!

Larry is one of those big, beautiful boys with an adorable oversized head—and an even bigger heart.

Through no fault of his own, Larry had to be surrendered when his beloved human began cancer treatment. She wanted to make sure he was safe, loved, and cared for while she focused on getting well. Thankfully, Larry has adjusted wonderfully to his new foster home.

And what a sweetheart he is! Larry is extremely friendly, affectionate, and full of purrs. He absolutely loves human attention and seems so happy to have someone to love on and spend time with.

He is neutered, microchipped, healthy, and getting his vaccinations updated this week, so he’ll be ready to find his forever family.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who will happily fill your home with purrs, affection, and plenty of personality, Larry just might be your guy!

Let us know if you’re interested in giving this handsome boy the forever home he deserves. We don’t think you’ll regret it!

I've linked my Amazon wishlist for Homes for Pets. Anything sent to me will be shared by as many fosters as need it. We do have almost a literal ton of cats in our care right now. I also added the step ladder I requested earlier.
