Last week, graduates from Allison L. Steele Enhanced Learning Center, Byron P. Steele High School, and Samuel Clemens High School crossed the stage and celebrated an incredible milestone.

Their hard work, determination, and perseverance have led them to this moment, and we couldn't be prouder.

From student to educator, Cindy spent 31 years in education—most of those years right here in SCUC ISD—shaping the lives of students in the same community that shaped her. 💙

Her story is one of legacy, connection, and heart. From her parents attending SCUC, to meeting her husband here, to her children following in those same footsteps, SCUC has always been home.

“I’ve always been proud to be part of SCUC… It’s where my heart has always been.”

🎉 BIG ideas are moving forward in SCUC ISD! 🎉

Last Friday, the SCUC Education Foundation hit the road for our very first Teach Forward Fund Grant Patrol in partnership with DonorsChoose — surprising educators across the district with funding for innovative classroom projects designed to support student learning, creativity, and engagement.

The Teach Forward Fund is a new approach to classroom grants that helps simplify the process for teachers by reducing paperwork, improving turnaround time, and getting resources into classrooms faster.

Through this partnership, educators can focus less on forms and more on what matters most:
✨ their students
✨ their creativity
✨ their vision for learning

From literacy and science to classroom engagement, student wellness, and hands-on learning experiences, these projects are already helping move education beyond the basics in SCUC ISD. 💙
