Rotary is a all volunteer organization of 1.2 million business and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace. About 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas conduct projects to address today's challenges — i

ncluding illiteracy, disease, hunger, poverty, lack of clean water, and environmental concerns — while encouraging high ethical standards in all
vocations. The Schenectady Rotary Club is one of those 32,000 clubs, and it is one that we are very proud of. Locally we have about 80 community leaders that are our members. We have been around for over 90 years, but we stay very current in our involvement. Our Rotary Club sponsors numerous charitable organizations locally and internationally, and we have a lot of fun doing it.

Join Schenectady Rotary's Co****le for a Cause 2026 on Sunday, July 12 at Rivers Casino Schenectady for the July ACL Regional Tournament hosted by Adirondack Co****le.

Whether you’re a serious player or just in it for some friendly competition, there’s a spot for you, including a novice division for casual players. Bags will be provided!

A Critical Year for Keane Elementary Students

This coming school year, Keane Elementary School will undergo major construction. During that time, students and staff will be temporarily relocated

While the renovation is an investment in the future, the transition will create new challenges for many families.

A longer commute. New routines. Transportation barriers. Reduced access to resources that families have come to rely on.

These challenges can lead to increased absenteeism and make it harder for students to stay engaged in school.

That is why the Schenectady Rotary Club support is more important than ever.

Through our partnership with the Schenectady Community Schools Initiative, we work to remove barriers that stand between students and success.

Over the past several years, community support has helped provide:
📚 A free book for every student at the Scholastic Book Fair (~900+ books in 3 years!)
👓 Eyeglasses for students in need
🧥 Winter coats and clothing assistance
📱 Learning support technology
🧺 Free laundry facilities and supplies for families
🤝 Events that connect families, teachers, and the school community

As families navigate a year of transition, maintaining those connections and supports will be critical.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help ensure every student can stay connected, stay engaged, and continue learning despite the challenges ahead.

We are already 50% there and you can help us cross the finish line.

Today's students are tomorrow's leaders. Together, we can help them succeed.
