Schenectady Rotary Club Do you have a passion for serving your local and global community? Join Schenectady Rotary Thursdays from Noon - 1pm at Turf Tavern, Scotia, NY.

Rotary is a all volunteer organization of 1.2 million business and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace. About 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas conduct projects to address today's challenges — including illiteracy, disease, hunger, poverty, lack of clean water, and environmental concerns — while encouraging high ethical standards in all
vocations. The Schenectady Rotary Club is one of those 32,000 clubs, and it is one that we are very proud of. Locally we have about 80 community leaders that are our members. We have been around for over 90 years, but we stay very current in our involvement. Our Rotary Club sponsors numerous charitable organizations locally and internationally, and we have a lot of fun doing it.

Every step carries hope. 💜

Schenectady Rotary members joined today’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s walking for people living with Alzheimer’s, the families and caregivers beside them, and a future without the disease.

Together, we’re raising awareness and supporting the cause of care, support, and research. No one should face Alzheimer’s alone.

Today, Schenectady Rotary members and many of our Rotary friends joined the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY Walk to End Alzheimer’s to support people living with the disease, the families and caregivers beside them, and the search for a cure.

Thank you to our members and everyone who walked, donated, or cheered others on. Every step is a reminder that no one should face Alzheimer’s alone.

A new reminder of peace in the heart of Schenectady.

On October 1, Schenectady Rotary Club and the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation joined approximately 50 neighbors, community leaders, and fellow Rotarians to dedicate Schenectady County’s ninth Peace Pole.

Located at the western entrance to the historic ALCO Tunnel , the pole displays “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in eight languages. reflecting our community’s diverse heritage and a reminder to bring peace into our daily lives.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to CNY Rotary and the private donors whose support made this project possible.

Visit the Peace Pole from the parking lot behind Alltown Fresh Market, 1410 Erie Boulevard. Take a moment to read its message and enjoy the tunnel’s community-created tile mosaics.
