🚒💦 Attention 5th Graders Entering 6th Grade This September! 💦🚒

The Sayville Fire Department was proud to assist the students of Lincoln Avenue School yesterday during their annual Field Day festivities!

Connected to the school’s fire hydrant, Engine 4 provided a master stream of hundreds of gallons of water, creating a refreshing rain shower for all the Field Day athletes to enjoy. With the warm weather, it was the perfect way to help everyone stay cool while having fun.

🔥 On JUNE 18th, the Sayville Fire Department Junior Firefighter Program will be holding an information night for students entering the 6th grade this September and their parents. If you’re looking to learn firematic skills, develop leadership and teamwork abilities, make new friends, and have fun serving your community, this is your opportunity!

At the regular monthly meeting of the Sayville Fire Department held Monday evening, Chief of Department Ryan Quarte proudly swore in two new members as they began their journey as volunteer firefighters. The Chief also recognized several members for their dedication and hard work by presenting certificates for their accomplishments at the fire academy.

Congratulations to our newest members and to all those who continue to advance their training and skills in service to our community.

Training never stops.

This morning, members of the Sayville Fire Department participated in live fire training focused on private dwelling fire scenarios at the Suffolk County Fire Academy.

These hands on evolutions allow our firefighters to train in realistic conditions, sharpen their skills, and reinforce the tactics used to protect lives and property in our community.

Thank you to all of the instructors and firefighters who dedicated their time to this valuable training opportunity.

The Sayville Fire Department was proud to participate at the “Carnival” event held at Sayville Middle School alongside other first responders and local vendors.

Our members enjoyed spending time with students, families, and the community while showcasing our Tower Ladder. It was a great opportunity for kids to get an up-close look at the truck, ask questions, and learn more about what we do every day to serve and protect Sayville.

We appreciate everyone who came out and made the event such a success. Always a great day when we can connect with the community we serve.

WHAT RAIN? ☔🇺🇸 🚒🫡

The Sayville Fire Department would like to thank our community for braving the rain and joining us for our annual Memorial Day Parade and ceremonies as we honored and remembered the military members who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.

A rainy holiday morning could not stop the American Legion veterans, school district bands, Chamber of Commerce, athletic teams, neighboring fire departments, and community members from coming together to pay tribute to those who gave their lives for our freedoms.

Solemn ceremonies at Sparrow Park’s war monuments and on the lawn of the firehouse served as a meaningful reminder of the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s service members.

Thank you to everyone who stood with us in remembrance.
