The Great Southeast Pollinator Count is this weekend! To celebrate Garden City Library has an event on Friday, August 21, AND Saturday August 22 2026 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Stop by anytime to pick up official census counting sheet.

Ever wondered who’s buzzing around our community garden? Join the fun at the Great Southeast Pollinator Census – a hands-on citizen science project created by the University of Georgia.

Stop by the Garden City Library to pick up your official census counting sheet, then join us in the community garden during library hours on August 21st AND August 22nd for a fun outdoor adventure in insect spotting and identification. No experience is needed – just curiosity and a love of nature!

This exciting event invites people of all ages to help protect pollinators by observing and counting the amazing insects visiting flowers in our community garden. From busy bees to beautiful butterflies, every count helps scientists learn more about these important creatures.
