People asked whether I cleaned the stormdrain after yesterday’s video. I went back after the storm to clean the debris.
One thing I hope people take away from these videos is that protecting our stormwater is about all of us. And different cities and countries have different rules and regulations. Our cities maintain our stormwater systems, but we all play a role in keeping leaves, litter, and other debris from blocking storm drains—especially before or after a big storm.
Small actions may seem insignificant, but together they can make a difference in helping water flow where it’s supposed to go.
Question: Have you ever noticed how much water moves through a storm drain during a heavy rain?
💙 If you’re enjoying these quick stormwater lessons, let me know. I’d love to share more about the hidden systems that help protect our communities.
