On Wednesday night, St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji was a shining example of community spirit and compassion. The church was overflowing with energy and goodwill as 100+ dedicated volunteers gathered together with Kids Fighting Hunger to package two pallets of food, taking action against regional and global food insecurity. The atmosphere was electric as neighbors, friends, and families came together for a common purpose: to help those in need and make a real difference in their community.
This event marked the return of Kids Fighting Hunger to St. Philips after fifteen years. We are deeply grateful to Pamela Beard, former KFH Executive Director, and to Mark Studer, whose past leadership and tireless dedication have been instrumental in making these group packing events possible. Their commitment to fighting hunger has inspired countless individuals, and it was wonderful to see Mark at the helm once again, guiding both new and returning volunteers with enthusiasm and care.
Pam, Mark wanted to make sure we forwarded his “Hello!”
We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to every single volunteer who gave their time and effort. Your generosity and teamwork made this event a tremendous success. It is because of people like you—and your willingness to serve others—that positive change happens. Thank you for coming together, for caring, and for making such a meaningful impact. We are incredibly proud of this community and grateful for everyone who played a part in this important effort to combat food insecurity. Together, we truly are stronger. It was fantastic to have you join us at the table!
A special THANK YOU to board member Aaron and volunteer Jack for lending a hand and keeping me entertained during the trip up to and back from Bemidji.
An additional and equally heartfelt THANK YOU to Tanner and Food For Kidz, without whom none of this would have been possible. It is through collaboration that we can make these journeys successful.
