Two FAWL chapters, one great cause! The Sarasota and Manatee chapters are teaming up for a joint event to benefit All Faiths Food Bank – and you're invited! 🙌

Come for the good company, stay for the chance to make a real difference for families facing hunger in our community. Bring a friend, bring a colleague, and bring your appetite for doing good. 💛💙

💙We are over a third of the way there!💛

Collectively we have raised $1,731 of our $5,000 goal for the Women's Resource Center, and we couldn't be more grateful. To everyone who has already given — thank you! Every dollar goes straight to helping women in our own community through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

If you haven't donated yet, here's what your gift supports. The Women's Resource Center serves women and families across Sarasota and Manatee counties with:

✨ Mental health counseling and wellness programs
✨ Career coaching, job search help, and résumé support
✨ Legal and financial consultations
✨ Financial education and life skills coaching
✨ Scholarships for women going back to school
✨ Support groups for women going through big life changes like divorce or job loss
✨ A free Career Closet with clothes for interviews and work
✨ Bilingual programs and outreach for women who can't easily get to a center

The Sarasota and Manatee chapters of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers are launching a virtual fundraising campaign for the Women's Resource Center (WRC), and we want to see which chapter can raise the most!
The WRC suffered a structure fire to their Manatee location and are still assessing the damage and what repairs are needed. They do so much for the community — let’s give back so they can continue to serve our community.
The virtual campaign runs from now through October 29. We'll reveal the winning chapter that night at our joint event. Bragging rights are on the line, but the real winners are the women and families the Women's Resource Center serves every day.
Every dollar counts, and so does every share. Please tag a colleague, and share this post with your friends and family! 💛💙

Calling all FAWL members: we want to hear your voice! ✍️

Do you have a story to tell, an experience that shaped you, an idea worth sharing, or a passion outside the practice of law that others could learn from? Our journals are a space for the many perspectives, journeys, and talents within our FAWL community.

You do not need to be a seasoned writer or have a finished article ready to submit. Whether you have a topic in mind, a personal reflection, a professional insight, a leadership lesson, a wellness tip, a book or travel recommendation, or simply the beginning of an idea—we are here to help you develop it.

FAWL members and law students are encouraged to reach out. We would love to feature your experiences, visions, accomplishments, and unique voice.

We are ready to support and guide you every step of the way.
