A Street Photographer's perspective
“Yes, as street photographers/journalists we take advantage of the fact that no one has the right to privacy in public spaces. What that means is that we have to operate on a code of ethics that has been created by the community. Cameras are tools and knowing the ethics of the operator, corporation, or government agency is important. Are they guided by ethics, their bottom
line, or the values of their
supervisor?”
How this affects you
As a member of this geographical community you should be aware of what’s going on in it.
LGBTQ+ people have and continue to fight for our rights and our privacy is one of those rights.
History has taught us that not everyone has had/has the same rights. The 19th amendment is living proof of that.
*LGBTQ Connection has no official opinion on flock cameras or street photography, we just choose to share this information to inform our constituents and encourage you to do your own research.
